The Tees Valley Mohawks are very active when it comes to youth development. The Tees Valley Mohawks have a action plan to establsh number of development teams including:

- Tees Valley Mohawks Division 4 Reserve and development team for the Mohawks playing in the regional Division 4 League.

- Tees Valley Mohawks U18

- Tees Valley Mohawks U16 Junior development teams playing at National League level in their respective age categories.

- Tees Valley Mohawks U17 Junior development team playing in the Teesside U17 League

- Tees Valley Mohawks Vixens Ladies and female development team to play in the Durham Ladies League.

- The Tees Valley Mohawks also run an International Basketball Academy at Ormesby School, Middlesbrough that runs for four hours every Sunday attracting participants of every origin from all over the country.
